Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity
Join our local crew installing and maintaining water reticulation networks across the Tasman region. From tracking down faults and repairing underground services to testing assets and completing reinstatement work, you’ll play an important part in delivering reliable water services for the community.

There’s plenty of variety, great people to work alongside and opportunities to grow your skills as you gain experience.

In this role, you’ll:

  • Install, repair and maintain water reticulation systems
  • Respond to network faults and customer service requests
  • Support backflow prevention, surveys and testing
  • Complete reinstatement work safely and to a high standard
  • Record accurate job information and as-built documentation
  • Participate in the standby and call-out roster when required

Ngā pūkenga matua | What we’re looking for
You’ll be someone who enjoys being outdoors, solving practical problems and working as part of a crew. You take pride in doing things properly, communicate well and can be trusted to get on with the job.

You’ll bring:

  • Water, drainage, utilities or civil construction experience, or an interest in learning
  • Practical problem-solving skills and a strong focus on working safely
  • A reliable, team-first attitude with plenty of initiative
  • Confidence dealing respectfully with customers and the public
  • Basic technical skills to complete job information on a handheld device
  • A current New Zealand driver licence, with Class 2 advantageous

Experience with underground water and drainage services, reticulation systems or urban and rural water supplies would be beneficial but is not essential.
