Want a job that matters? At Yaxley, we support older adults who experience mental health challenges to live well and maintain their independence. We're recruiting casual staff to provide practical support, personal cares, encouragement, and connection. Whether you're experienced or looking to grow your skills, you'll be part of a team dedicated to making a real difference in people's lives, help create a safe homelike environment while building therapeutic relationships and providing personal support to assist with both their mental health, and physical health challenges.
In our Housing and Recovery service, you’ll support people to build confidence and independence for a successful transition back into the community, focusing on daily living skills, budgeting, household management, self-care, and community engagement.
If you have the New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing (level 4) you will have the opportunity to work in our respite service where you will be collaborating with mental health services to provide short term respite for people experiencing mental distress. You’ll support guests through day-to-day care including medication support, meaningful conversations, on-site activities, cooking, cleaning, and hosting visiting clinical teams.
Flexible shifts are available, with a particular need for people who can work weekends. If you're compassionate, reliable, and enjoy helping others thrive, we'd love to hear from you
