ZIWI is New Zealand’s leading pet food exporter and a global leader in air-dried pet nutrition. Driven by our purpose of elevating every pet to their peak, every day of their life, we're helping cats and dogs thrive in markets around the world — and our global growth story is only getting started!
We're looking for a People & Culture Advisor who enjoys building strong relationships, improving processes, and helping leaders create high-performing teams. From employee relations and leadership coaching to engagement initiatives and HiBob optimisation, you'll play an important role in shaping employee experience, building leadership capability, and supporting a high-performance culture across the business.
What will you be doing?
You'll partner with the business, providing practical support, advice, and solutions that help our people thrive.
Supporting leaders with employee relations, performance conversations, investigations, coaching, and day-to-day people matters.
Coordinating key annual people processes, including remuneration reviews, performance reviews, objective setting, and talent planning.
Acting as a champion for HiBob, ensuring employee data is accurate and the system remains our single source of truth.
Supporting the implementation and adoption of new HR technology, system enhancements, and improvements.
Leading employee engagement survey activities and helping turn feedback into meaningful action.
Supporting recruitment activity
Coordinating learning and development initiatives that build capability across the business.
Contributing to projects and continuous improvement initiatives that help make ZIWI an even better place to work.
Who are we looking for?
You are currently P&C Advisor or HR Advisor who wants to broaden your experience, increase your commercial exposure, and continue your journey to become a trusted People Business Partner.
You’ll bring:
Two or more years' experience in a People & Culture or HR role at the advisory level.
A solid understanding of New Zealand employment legislation, with sound experience in managing complex ER cases
Experience supporting employee relations and performance management processes.
Strong organisational skills and confidence working with systems, data, and reporting.
The ability to build trusted relationships with leaders and employees at all levels.
Strong initiative, sound judgement, and a desire to make a genuine impact – you are happy to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in.
This isn't a typical P&C Advisor role. You'll join a growing global business, work for a global ultra-premium brand, and gain valuable experience in a private equity-backed environment where innovation, pace, and continuous improvement are part of everyday life.
Working closely with the Head of P&C Operations and Talent, you'll be exposed to a broad range of strategic and operational people initiatives, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to further develop their commercial P&C capability.
