JOB CONTENT
To manage vehicle scheduling, driver support, and maintenance, for optimal fleet operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and safety through performance monitoring, fuel efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational:
- Manage the daily availability of vehicles, ensuring readiness to meet dispatch needs.
- Conduct regular vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or repair requirements.
- Coordinate and support the Maintenance department to schedule preventive maintenance services for vehicles to maintain optimal performance and minimize breakdowns.
- Oversee vehicle cleaning and ensure adherence to company standards.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to drivers, ensuring their understanding of company policies, safety procedures, and vehicle operation protocols.
- Assist drivers with pre-trip inspections and address any concerns reported.
- Process driver logs and maintain compliance with relevant regulations.
- Investigate and report any accidents or incidents involving company vehicles.
- Assist the Logistics & Dispatch Manager with route planning and optimization to ensure efficient delivery schedules.
- Monitor fuel efficiency and implement strategies to minimize fuel consumption costs.
- Generate reports on fleet performance, including maintenance costs, fuel usage, and vehicle downtime.
- Stay informed of changes in relevant regulations regarding vehicle operation, safety standards, and environmental considerations.
- Assist with the onboarding of new drivers and training on company policies and vehicle operation.
- Perform any other relevant task delegated from time-to-time by the line manager.

Requirements
MINIMUM EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education:
–
Diploma or equivalent in relevant discipline
Experience:
–
2-3 years of relevant experience
Special Skills & Knowledge:

Good understanding of vehicle maintenance principles and procedures.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
–
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant fleet management software.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
