Junior Solutions Engineer

Inbox Business Technologies is looking for a Junior Solutions Engineer to support pre-sales, solution design, deployment and customer support for IT infrastructure solutions. This role is ideal for an early-career professional looking to build hands-on expertise in enterprise infrastructure, solution engineering and pre-sales while working with customers, OEMs and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing customer requirements, RFPs/RFQs and technical specifications.
• Support the design of IT infrastructure solutions based on customer requirements.
• Prepare technical proposals, compliance matrices, HLDs and LLDs.
• Assist in preparing and mapping BOQs against proposed solutions and requirements.
• Research OEM products, configurations, SKUs and technical compatibility.
• Support solution deployment and customer requirements.
• Maintain technical documentation and continuously develop knowledge of new technologies and vendor platforms.

Requirements

• Basic understanding of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, DNS and DHCP.
• Understanding of enterprise servers, storage and related infrastructure.
• Basic knowledge of SAN, NAS, DAS, HDD, SSD and NVMe.
• Understanding of VMware, Hyper-V or KVM virtualization.
• Basic understanding of backup, replication and Disaster Recovery concepts.
• Basic Windows Server and Linux knowledge.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, research and documentation skills.
• Good communication skills with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Nice-to-have Skills

• CCNA certification.
• Virtualization certification.
• Exposure to enterprise IT infrastructure or solution engineering.
• Experience researching OEM products and configurations.
