What You’ll Do
As a Production Planner, you'll be at the heart of our manufacturing operations: planning, scheduling, and optimizing the production flow to ensure on-time delivery with the highest quality and efficiency, all while staying aligned with the company's financial objectives. You'll be the driving force behind production readiness, capacity balancing, and cost control, acting as a vital bridge between departments to keep everything moving smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Needs Management: Develop and maintain the production plan, generating manufacturing, material, and subcontracting requirements to ensure on-time delivery while minimizing operational costs.
- Capacity Management: Analyze the availability of machines and equipment, labor, and manufacturing lead times to prevent overloads and underutilization, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
- Production Monitoring: Monitor production targets in real time and adjust plans when setbacks arise. Develop action plans to mitigate risks and deviations from agreed delivery deadlines.
- Cost Control: Ensure accurate tracking and control of Internal Work Order costs, promoting variance analysis between budgeted and actual costs.
- Materials & Cross-functional Coordination: Verify material availability to fulfill purchase requests from other departments. Ensure effective communication across departments, fostering collaboration and proactive problem resolution.
- Performance & Continuous Improvement: Report and analyze planning KPIs, driving improvement actions to meet established objectives. Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing process enhancements.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Your success in this role will be measured by:
- On-time, on-budget delivery of Internal Work Orders.
- Timely completion of Manufacturing Orders.
- Process optimization within planning workflows.
What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in technical planning and production management.
- ERP SAP knowledge.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Solid understanding of MRP (Material Requirements Planning) principles.
