Overview

As a SFDC Engineer you are critical to our sales and client service teams’ success! You are responsible for execution of SFDC backlog at Paychex. As the technical designer and developer, you must work across business units to gain a clear understanding of functional requirements and use your SFDC expertise to develop and implement solutions. To be successful in this role you must have in-depth knowledge of SFDC development best practices and SFDC offerings to ensure scalable solutions are designed and implemented. In addition, you must be a great team player with excellent communication skills. Like the industry and SFDC, we move fast. We need you to stay fresh with new technology, software and architecture as it pertains to SFDC and their new offerings so that you can innovate daily.

Responsibilities

• • The SFDC Engineer role is an APEX developer role` responsible for execution of SFDC backlog at Paychex.
  • Participate in design decisions, and the ability to execute the design.
  • Provide feedback to the business regarding status of work and any roadblocks encountered along the way.
  • Support deployments and resolve deployment issues.
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and latest SFDC offerings and development best practices.

Qualifications

• 3 years of SFDC development experience or 4 years of Object oriented development experience and 2 years of SFDC development experience
• 2 years of experience with any common SFDC IDE
• Experience in Apex classes, Apex triggers, Visual Force pages, SOQL, SOSL and Force.com API.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience developing Lightning Web Components (LWC).
• Experience with Git-based version control and Salesforce DevOps or deployment tools such as Gearset or similar.
• Experience with Communities, Service/Sales Cloud, Einstein, Test classes.
• Experience with integrating Salesforce cloud solution with enterprise applications, identify, and access management as well as third party products.
• Experience with Version control systems and deployments.
• Solid understanding of Salesforce security model.
• Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, specifically Agile.
• Experience working as part of an Agile SDLC team, familiarity with Agile software development principles and concepts, working in a collaborative, iterative process.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer science, MIS or related technology field
• Experience in delivering SaaS products preferred.
