What you'll do

As a SSC Manager, you will report to the Head of Plant Logistics, and your main responsibilities will include running supply chain coordination to optimize stock inventory levels, project supply chain in cooperation with launch activities, leading and developing team, preparing logistics system requirements for SCC, leading LEAN transformation to improve all flows and supply chain end-to-end, and coordinating material inventory. Your role will involve fostering a collaborative work environment and continuously improving operational standards.
In doing so, you will:

  • Lead the SCC team to reach target KPIs and keep production running in the most efficient way;
  • Lead IC (inventory control) team, manage slow-moving parts, OBS, overflow parts management and control, and keep inventory within the defined scope (cost-related)
  • Be responsible for production material flow, inventory on purpose, and reducing high inventory;
  • Perform supplier performance follow-up;
  • Keep communication with material handling, project-related departments, ensure project launch on time and success;
  • Drive process improvements, cost reduction, and continuous improvement activities, and implement company initiatives;
  • Manage all aspects of people planning, organize their daily workflow, ensure accountability, recognize achievements, and handle people issues;
  • Communicate job expectations clearly, provide necessary instructions and feedback to team members;
  • Provide training plans, develop know-how, coach, and execute trainings;
  • Be a role model for Volvo Cars values, encourage a speak-up culture, so your team can freely highlight problems, deviations, and opportunities to improve through potential solutions.

What you'll bring

  • Several years of management experience in a similar position in the automotive manufacturing supply chain field;
  • Preferred university education in Supply Chain, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience;
  • Lean logistics knowledge;
  • Good understanding of the manufacturing processes, 5S, Standard Work, Andon, and real-time production management;
  • Excellent listening, speaking, writing, and presentation skills in English and Slovak;
  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset;
  • Coaching skills;
  • Performance Management (maximizing engagement, motivation, and productivity);
  • Flexibility, being able not only to work under an organization in a transformation period or green-field project, but thrive in such a fast-paced environment;
  • Ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Compensation Data

Monthly gross salary for this position starts from 3.200 EUR.
* The salary amount represents the minimum guaranteed amount of the basic salary component applicable to the job. Final salary is negotiable and will be adjusted in accordance with seniority level and previous experience of candidate.
