Technician 2, Process

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

1-Manufacturing process:

  • Perform precise, repetitive function to load small components using equipment or by hand in a high-volume manufacturing process.
  • Handle parts weigh more than 20 lbs.
  • Use wrenches, torque wrenches, and screw drivers to install various components.
  • Use air dispensers to apply various sealants as required by the assembly drawing
  • Ability to create complex wiring harnesses for all system type products using hand tools, and various hand soldering stations.
  • Ability to understand technical drawing.
  • Ability to solder wires to terminals using various hand soldering irons.
  • Ability to perform simple test operations using test equipment.
  • Ability to use complex test equipment.
  • Provide real-time quality feedback by bringing up defects as they occur to prevent excessive defects from occurring and allow real-time problem solving
  • Inspect own work for quality specifications.
  • Produce work that meets Workmanship Standards and strict quality criteria.

2. Manufacturing Support, Continual Improvement and Quality control

  • To use SPC tools to analysis defects and other issues to find out the way continuously improve and solving problem.
  • Identify potential opportunities for process improvement and bring them to the attention of area process engineers and supervisors for undertaking with implication of cost saving.
  • Daily react to production problems in real time to make sure that yield, rework and output meet targets – so that yield targets are met.
  • Provide supervising to ensure operators follow up procedure and drawing, and operators to support their needs and provide prompt feedback if they have questions.
  • Implement verification and calibration for simple measurement device. Report and order to replace if device is damaged or broken.

3. -Report and documentation.

  • Daily production report status to process engineer.
  • Record and communicate production issues between shifts. Work with CNC line to get the feedback quality issue.
  • Review daily production log and other report for each workplace. Check machine logbook daily to ensure machine noted and checked for changes.
  • Aid Engineering in verification of new products and help with the creation of work instructions.

5-Other

  • Sets a high standard of ethics, professionalism, leadership, competence, and quality
  • Maintains a positive attitude and is cooperative while working with others
  • Maintains Good Attendance.

Education & Experience

1. Education

  • Intermediate graduate or college graduate with major in mechanical and / or mechatronics. Preferred knowledge setup processes and/or test equipment.

2. Experiment

  • Be able to define colors correctly to identify materials and products needed.
  • 3+ years applicable experience in manufacturing setting in relation to trouble shooting of machine operation and diagnostic of production problems.
  • Machine Operator with programming knowledge
  • Understanding of technical drawing and basic chemical engineering principals to manufacture parts in high volume setting.
  • Understand and adhere to all Company policies, processes and workplace guidelines.

3. Skills

  • Skills to work with extremely small and / or fragile components and tools for extended periods of time.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Skills to be organized and detail focuses.
  • Skills to use hand tools
  • Basic PC skills, Windows based, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Open communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility working times.
  • Leadership capabilities to manage a virtual team
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills and enjoy the process of problem-solving

Working Conditions

  • Exposure to some of chemicals and machine oils. Works in manufacturing environment
