What you will enjoy doing

• As a manager, you lead and manage the product management team, including coaching, development, and performance management of Product Managers
• Develop and execute product portfolio strategies aligned with business objectives including product lifecycle management
• You drive market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities and accountable for portfolio revenue, profitability, market share, and growth targets
• Lead pricing strategy development and ensure alignment with market dynamics and profitability objectives
• Identify emerging technologies and industry developments that may impact the business, support, develop and advise on customer welding procedures and processes in line with the Marketing strategy
• Part of your duties will include management of special consumables portfolio inline with best commercial practices

What makes you great

• You possess an engineering qualification in metallurgical field or similar with an International Welding Engineer qualification or BCom in business or marketing management field would be advantageous
• You have at least 5 - 7 years relevant experience in the welding industry, as well as a thorough knowledge Afrox would be advantageous
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing product portfolio strategies
• You have experience managing supplier, distributor, and customer relationships, within the industrial, welding, manufacturing, engineering, hard goods, consumables, or related B2B sectors
• You have experience working with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, and Finance
