Position: Wheel LoaderOperator

We are seeking for an experienced Wheel Loader Operator to join our team in Mashonaland West (Zimbabwe).

Operational Responsibilities

• Operate wheel lodaders safely and efficiently to perform loading, trenching, and material handling tasks as directed by the site supervisor.
• Load haul trucks, stockpiles, or crushers according to production targets and site requirements.
• Conduct daily pre-start inspections and report any mechanical faults or maintenance issues promptly.
• Coordinate effectively with dumper operators, dozer operators, and other equipment to maintain continuous material flow.
• Follow designated loading plans, pit designs, and supervisor instructions to maintain grade control and stability.
• Maintain the wheel loader clean, organized, and in good working order through regular housekeeping and lubrication checks.

Safety Responsibilities

• Attend daily pre-start meetings.
• Perform visual safety checks before operating machinery and promptly report defects or mechanical issues.
• Operate the machine only within authorized areas and according to established safety zones.
• Comply with EPSA’s safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
• Immediately report any unsafe conditions, near-miss incidents, or accidents to your supervisor.

Environmental Responsibilities

• Comply with EPSA’s environmental policies and practices.
• Ensure operations are conducted with minimal environmental impact.

Qualifications

• Secondary education certificate or equivalent.
• Valid heavy equipment operating license.
• Training in mine safety procedures.
• At least 5 years’ experience working in remote or international locations with similar equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret operational instructions.
