Position: HVAC BIM Modeler

Job Summary:

The HVAC BIM Modeler is responsible for developing accurate 3D BIM models and detailed drawings for HVAC systems in building and MEP projects. The role involves creating, coordinating, and updating HVAC models based on design drawings, specifications, and project requirements while ensuring proper coordination with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and other MEP services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 3D HVAC BIM models using Revit MEP and other relevant BIM software.
• Prepare HVAC layouts, ducting layouts, chilled water piping, ventilation, and equipment models.
• Produce shop drawings, coordination drawings, sections, details, and installation drawings .
• Coordinate HVAC services with architectural, structural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting systems.
• Identify and resolve clashes/conflicts using BIM coordination tools such as Navisworks.
• Update BIM models based on design changes, site requirements, and consultant/client comments.
• Prepare as-built models and drawings based on actual site installation.
• Extract quantities and schedules from BIM models when required.
• Ensure models and drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and BIM requirements.
• Coordinate with engineers, draftsmen, site teams, consultants, and project managers.
• Maintain proper BIM model versions and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, or MEP preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, chilled water piping, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems .
• Proficiency in Autodesk Revit MEP .
• Knowledge of Navisworks Manage for clash detection and coordination.
• Ability to read and understand MEP/HVAC drawings and technical specifications .
• Experience in BIM coordination and preparation of shop/coordination drawings.
• Good knowledge of construction and MEP installation practices.
• Experience with high-rise buildings, commercial buildings, residential projects, hospitals, hotels, or large-scale projects is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Experience:

3–5+ years of experience in HVAC BIM modeling, preferably with experience in UAE/GCC construction projects.
