About the role

Join RACV’s Payroll Services team and help deliver accurate, timely and compliant payroll outcomes across a complex organisation.

Reporting to the Payroll Operations Manager, you will process weekly and monthly payrolls, resolve complex payroll exceptions and ensure payments comply with enterprise agreements, modern awards, legislation and internal policies. You will work across SAP Employee Central Payroll and UKG Pro WFM while supporting payroll controls, audits, remediation activities and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll activities including adjustments, back pays, bonuses, leave, terminations and reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies across timekeeping data, pay rules and pay codes.
• Interpret enterprise agreements, modern awards and employment policies.
• Respond to payroll enquiries and clearly explain outcomes to employees and leaders.
• Support compliance reviews, audits, system testing and payroll remediation.
• Identify and escalate payroll risks while strengthening processes and controls.

What you’ll bring

• At least three years’ experience in a complex payroll environment.
• Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, including STP Phase 2, PAYG, payroll tax and superannuation.
• Experience interpreting industrial instruments and resolving complex payroll matters.
• Strong reconciliation, investigation and Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail, communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
• Experience with SAP Employee Central Payroll and UKG Pro WFM will be highly regarded.

You’ll be a proactive and collaborative payroll professional who values accuracy, confidentiality, customer service and continuous improvement. Occasional work outside standard hours may be required to support payroll deadlines, period close and system releases.
