HSE Manager - Major renewable energy project - Regional Victoria

This is a site-based role working a 10 days on / 4 days off roster, with travel to and from the project within company time. You will work closely with project leaders, supervisors, contractors and site crews to lead practical, visible safety on site.

About the role

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead HSE across the project, providing practical direction and visible support in the field. You will work with project leaders, supervisors, contractors and crews to manage construction risk, strengthen safe work practices and share learnings across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead HSE across the project and provide direction to the site HSE team.
• Build strong relationships with project leaders, supervisors, contractors and the workforce.
• Provide visible field leadership and support teams to manage construction risks.
• Lead incident investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Monitor HSE performance and ensure work meets legislative, client and UGL requirements.

About you

• HSE leadership experience in a site-based, high-risk construction project environment ideally in the renewables space.
• A practical, visible leadership style with strong influencing skills.
• Relevant health and safety qualifications and sound knowledge of construction risk and incident investigation.
