💼 The Position

LIZY is hiring an Operations Associate for our Compound & Leasing Operations team in Brussels.

Here’s the situation. A LIZY contract only becomes real when a car is prepared, registered, and handed to a customer in perfect shape — and then kept on the road, hassle-free, for the entire lease. That’s what our team owns, across two engines. Compound Ops gets every car ready before handoff: inspection, photos, repairs, and import & registration admin. Leasing Ops manages the partners that keep the car running across the contract lifecycle: maintenance, repairs & tires, roadside assistance, insurance claims, and more.

And the volume is coming. We already deliver hundreds of cars a month, with volumes growing 70%+ YoY — a fleet that grows 50% YoY in Belgium and doubles in France and the Netherlands. Keeping hundreds of customers delighted while operating at that scale — smoothly, efficiently, and at the right cost — doesn’t happen by accident. Someone has to run the streams that make it look easy, and make them better as we grow.

That’s where you come in. You’ll take ownership of real streams inside the machine, keep them running flawlessly, and start finding the ways to make them faster and cheaper.

You’ve maybe done a first stint in consulting, a fast-scaling startup, or a corporate traineeship. You’ve built more presentations, Excel models, and meeting decks than you can care to remember. But you’re hungry — you want to grow, see things move fast, and actually own the impact of your work instead of handing the recommendation to someone else. We know who you are. You’ll love it here.

🔧 What You’ll Own

• Your streams, run well: execute the processes in Compound or Leasing Ops reliably and to a high standard — cars prepared and handed off on time, partners delivering across the lease.
• Quality and fixes: own the accuracy of your work end to end, flag what’s broken quickly and clearly, and fix what’s within your control.
• The first improvements: as you master your scope, start spotting where things can run better and faster — and follow through.
• The numbers: produce accurate reports and views on your scope (Airtable, Sheets, Data Studio) with a zero-mistake standard, and start drawing the “so what,” not just the figures.
• Cost awareness: get to know the cost base you operate in — the €6–7m Compound Operations cost cube, or Leasing Operations cost cubes like roadside assistance, maintenance & repairs, tire changes, and short-term rental vehicles (€1–3m each). Learn the main drivers, know the order of magnitude, and flag variances early.

• Owner, not a renter: you take your tasks from start to finish without being chased, and when something breaks you fix it or escalate fast — you don’t sit on problems.
• The itch to build: you’re not content just running the playbook. A manual or broken process nags at you, and you want to be the one who improves it.
• Reliable to the core: you deliver what you commit to, on time, and you close the loop — no surprises.
• Structured: you describe what actually happened before jumping to solutions, and your updates are clear: situation, what you did, what you need.
• Analytical and accurate: comfortable in data, and obsessive about getting the numbers right.
• Hungry: restless to move fast, see impact, and grow.

Your profile

• 1–2 years in consulting, operations, a high-growth startup, or a corporate traineeship.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort producing accurate reporting and drawing conclusions from it.
• A strong academic record.
• Fluent in English and French or Dutch — a good command of the other national language is a plus.
• Having built processes, tools, or automations yourself (Airtable, Make, Sheets, or similar) is a real plus, not a requirement — the builder’s instinct matters more than the tooling.
• Affinity for the automotive industry is a plus.
