Licensed Practical Nurse - Casual

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Casual LPN to join our resident care team based out of our Long Term Care Centre at 7404 - 139 Ave NW, Edmonton, Alberta. Hours of work can be:

Days: 7am - 3:15pm or 7am - 1:30pm

Evenings: 3pm - 11:15pm or 3pm - 10:30pm

Opportunity

The Licensed Practical Nurse performs:

  • basic nursing procedures and provides treatments within the scope of Licensed Practical Nurse training and in accordance with established Resident Care programs, policies and procedures
  • provides ancillary support in the provision of quality resident care
  • administers medications in accordance with established procedures, legislative standards and as directed by the Case Manager/Staff Nurse Designated in Charge

Qualifications

  • a certificate from a recognized Practical Nurse Program
  • a valid license with the C.L.H.A.
  • a valid CPR Health Care Provider certification
  • at least one year of recent nursing experience is required
  • experience in a long term care facility is preferred
