Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary Segment Leader to lead our CIC (Chip-in-Context) business globally. This is a strategic executive role with full segment P&L responsibility, being responsible for all major functions including product management, product marketing, and engineering. You will drive innovation, growth, and operational perfection across a complex, globally distributed organization while positioning our EDA solutions as industry standards. This role is based in Saskatoon, Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the engineering roadmap for Siemens EDA's generative and agentic AI capabilities, including multi-agent workflow orchestration, autonomous design-space exploration, natural-language tool control, and AI-powered design intelligence across functional IC, physical IC, manufacturing, 3D IC, and electronic systems workflows
- Partner with R&D leaders, chief architects, product management, and platform teams across the Siemens EDA portfolio—including Solido, Calibre, Questa One, Tessent, Aprisa, Veloce, Catapult, Xpedition, HyperLynx, and related solutions—to establish shared AI platform layers, unified APIs, common agent skills, consistent telemetry, and reusable infrastructure
- Build and mentor a high-performing, geographically diverse product development and leadership team
- Drive strategic planning and budgeting processes; interpret financial data for effective decision-making and implement corrective actions
- Represent the segment as an industry leader with vision through participation in industry forums, panels, speaking engagements, and relevant associations
- Influence customers through direct and indirect networks; build consensus and drive organizational change
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or similar subject area from an accredited institution
- Proven 10 years of experience in P&L and/or general management leadership roles
- Proven visionary leader with demonstrated experience leading a geographically diverse product development organization
- Strong ability to interact with customers and represent the business unit in industry forums
- Demonstrated experience developing commercial and innovation strategies in a complex, multinational environment
- Exceptional financial management skills and strategic planning expertise
Preferred:
- MBA, MSEE, or PhD from an accredited institution
- 20+ years' experience in the EDA industry with detailed knowledge of design for test, yield learning, or silicon lifecycle management
- Track record of distinctive growth leadership in developing market segments
- Executive presence and communication skills consistent with a business and industry thought leader
- Experience leading multinational teams across geographically distributed sites that service a global customer base
- Experience with formal product innovation processes, roadmaps, and the ability to use consumer insights and data analytics to support strategic decisions
- Active participation in industry associations and recognized thought leadership status
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%

Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this position is CAD 234,500 – CAD 445,600 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
