Cyber Security Architect

Standard Job Description

The candidate will participate as a Cyber Architect member of the Naval Development team in a multi-disciplined agile team environment to perform tasks such as requirements verification and validation, security assessment activities, and issue analysis related to multiple subsystems.

The Cyber Architect will develop cybersecurity solutions to assure the confidentiality, availability and integrity of the information systems on national and international programs. This will include the creation of cybersecurity architectures and other security artefacts for multiple information systems including:

. Security assessment
. Compliance readiness
. Supply chain security
. Continuous monitoring
. Access control architectures
. Network security
. System hardening
. Cyber mission assurance.

Basic Qualifications

. Eligible for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret clearance
. Current student in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or substantially similar program
. Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical members of the engineering/management staff and personnel assigned to related work
. Aptitude for solving challenging problems in a team environment
. Have a high degree of initiative and autonomy and ability to perform in a dynamic environment.

Desired Skills

. Knowledge of programming in Java and C++
. Familiarity with Information Technology Security Risk Management: A Lifecycle Approach
(Information Technology Security Guidelines -33 (ITSG-33)) and/or National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework (CSF)
. Understanding of Engineering Lifecycle (IEEE 15288)
. Experience with Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) such as CAMEO, NoMagic, Dessault, etc,
