About the role
Lead innovative harm reduction services that improve the health and wellbeing of people who use drugs. Oversee multidisciplinary teams delivering outreach, counselling, primary health, and needle and syringe programs across Melbourne's Inner West and North.

Your duties include:
• Provide strategic and operational leadership across Alcohol and Other Drug Response portfolio
• Lead the development, implementation and review of organisation-wide governance frameworks, policies and service standards
• Monitor service compliance with funding, accreditation, legislative, clinical governance and organisational requirements
• Build and maintain effective partnerships with the community, external and internal service providers and the Department of Health representatives

Our ideal candidate:
• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent relevant experience
• Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary teams in alcohol and other drug, community health, mental health, harm reduction or related human services settings
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally safe practice
• Highly developed communication, stakeholder engagement, partnership building and influencing skills

All appointments are made subject to a satisfactory Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC), a Working with Children Check (WWCC), complete a Pre-Employment Declaration Form, evidence of legal rights to work in Australia, and evidence of vaccination.
Successful applicants will be required to provide evidence of immunisation assessment including Influenza within 12 weeks of commencement [B]. This is in accordance with the Victorian Minister of Health Mandatory Vaccination Orders and legislated requirement for influenza vaccination.
