As a Java Solutions Architect at Wipro Solution Canada Ltd, you will play a critical role in designing and delivering advanced software solutions within the Capital Markets sector. Key Responsibilities
- Define, design, and oversee the comprehensive solution architecture for Capital Markets applications, ensuring that deliverables meet both functional and non-functional requirements such as scalability, security, and compliance.
- Leverage expertise in Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) to craft cloud-native architectures that are fault-tolerant, cost-effective, and designed for high availability.
- Architect event-driven systems using Apache Kafka, implementing best practices in messaging and event processing to enable real-time data flows and decoupled system components.
- Design Microservices architectures focused on modularity, with a clear API strategy that facilitates seamless integration across platforms and third-party services.
- Lead and facilitate architecture working sessions and technical governance reviews to maintain consistency and quality across projects.
- Develop detailed documentation including high-level and low-level designs (HLDs, LLDs), system architecture diagrams, and long-term technology roadmaps to guide development and operational teams.
- Champion migration and modernization projects to transition legacy systems to cloud-native solutions, improving maintainability, scalability, and performance.
- Ensure all technology solutions adhere to strict security standards, regulatory compliance, and enterprise resiliency frameworks.
- Mentor software development teams, promoting engineering excellence through coding standards, design patterns, and agile methodologies.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including business analysts, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure to ensure smooth delivery from concept through deployment.
Technical Proficiencies: 12+ years of hands-on Java development experience with at least 5 years serving as a Solutions Architect, Design Lead, or Technical Lead. Strong experience within Capital Markets environments and expertise in Azure Cloud, AKS, Kafka, Event-Driven Architecture, Microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and Python. Databricks experience is considered an asset.

Requirement Gathering and Solution Design
- Partner with business stakeholders, enterprise architects, and technology teams to gather detailed business and technical requirements and translate them into scalable solution architectures.
- Provide architectural leadership for Java-based applications and cloud modernization initiatives, ensuring solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and business objectives.
- Remain hands-on with architecture and technical design activities while guiding development teams on implementation patterns, coding standards, integration strategies, and best practices.
- Participate in architecture reviews, design workshops, code reviews, and technical governance processes to ensure high-quality delivery.

Testing, Implementation, and Documentation
- Define architecture validation strategies to ensure solutions meet scalability, resiliency, performance, security, and operational requirements. Collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure successful implementation and production readiness.
- Partner with DevOps and QA teams to facilitate smooth deployment pipelines and release management practices that minimize downtime and operational risks. Provide ongoing support to resolve issues during implementation phases.
- Produce thorough documentation including project blueprints, component specifications, workflow diagrams, technical manuals, and inline code comments. Maintain these resources up to date to support supportability, future maintenance, and knowledge transfer.

Collaboration & Cross-Functional Communication
- Act as a central point of communication between various disciplines such as business analysts, software engineers, quality assurance, infrastructure, and operations teams. Provide clear and concise technical guidance to ensure alignment on architecture vision and project goals.
- Facilitate regular knowledge-sharing sessions and architectural workshops to promote transparency and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
- Support efforts to resolve technical challenges by encouraging collaborative problem-solving and constructive feedback mechanisms.
- Contribute positively to the company’s inclusive workplace initiatives by embracing diversity and ensuring equitable participation from all team members.
- Collaborate with Capital Markets business stakeholders, enterprise architects, development teams, and senior client leadership to drive architecture decisions and solution delivery.
