Construction Supervisor

We are currently recruiting a Construction Supervisor to join our team in Saint John, NB. In this role, you will lead and support field technicians, coordinate construction activities, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Working closely with Project Managers, you will oversee field operations, conduct site visits, support project planning and estimating, and maintain compliance with industry regulations and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership abilities, industry experience, relevant certifications, and excellent communication and organizational skills.

As a Construction Supervisor, you will:

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and technical support to Field and Lead Technicians.
  • Coordinate field resources and construction activities to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
  • Promote and enforce company safety programs, industry regulations, and environmental compliance standards.
  • Conduct site visits, planned job observations, field assessments, and construction inspections.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers on project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and field execution.
  • Support recruitment, training, performance management, and development of field personnel.
  • Assist with estimating, quoting, scope development, and project setup activities.
  • Coordinate subcontractors and additional trades to support successful project delivery.
  • Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions to meet project objectives.
  • Ensure quality workmanship, adherence to construction standards, and customer satisfaction throughout all project phases.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Petroleum Installer / PM2 or PM3 Certification preferred
  • Petroleum/fueling construction project experience (minimum 10 years industry specific experience) and basic electrical knowledge
  • Valid driver’s license and clean abstract
  • High energy, self-motivated and must have a positive attitude
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team focused, deadline-driven environment with the ability to multi-task
  • Must be able to work independently with little supervision
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Competent using tools and operating equipment
  • Ability to handle very physically demanding work
  • Must be willing to work long shifts and extra hours
  • Must be hard working, reliable, responsible, energetic, and dependable
  • Minimum High School Education
  • Able to use critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Customer Service Experience
