Systems Engineer I - Anthem Flight Controls

We are looking for a System Engineer I that would join our Flight Systems – Honeywell Anthem team. You will be responsible for Automatic Flight Control Systems (AFCS) development and testing – specifically contributing to the development of one or more of the following functions - Flight Guidance / Flight Director, Autothrottle, Autopilot, Trims, Yaw Damper. The final product will be serving to customers not only in Business, Regional but also Urban Air Mobility or General aviation segments. There is an opportunity for you to grow alongside the new product development and experienced team.

We’re looking for a early career professional with some system engineering or aerospace engineering experience or a fresh graduate motivated to work in aerospace systems engineering profession.

This is a hybrid role, 3 days at the office + 2 days work from home model.

Control Systems develops the thermal and motion control systems that help aircraft take off, land safely and protect the people on board. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the design and development of automatic flight control systems, ensuring they meet project and customer requirements.
• Model-Based development using MATLAB/Simulink.
• Conduct validation and verification/testing of the system to ensure compliance with requirements and aerospace industry standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software components into cohesive systems.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Avionics/Aerospace Engineering/Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering/Control Systems/Industrial Automation

WE VALUE

• Familiarity with engineering tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, or similar tools used in systems development, modeling and simulation.
• Knowledge of scripting language (e.g. Python)
• Previous experience with one or more of the following: systems engineering, systems verification, model-based design, requirements management, or aerospace industry (e.g. during an internship/part-time job/diploma thesis)
• Basic understanding of aircraft/avionics functions and design

• Must meet any applicable Export License conditions in terms of nationality for the given project.
• Capability and willingness to travel abroad for trainings, business meetings and customer support
