The R&D Mechanical Engineer is responsible for engineering execution, project management, and technical leadership for injection molded components and related manufacturing technologies. The role supports new product development, cost reduction, sustaining engineering, and design change projects with emphasis on molded component manufacturability, tooling development, supplier management, validation activities, inspection methods, and manufacturing readiness.

The position provides technical leadership for molded component design, tooling development, supplier management, validation activities, manufacturing integration, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires strong project management capabilities, effective prioritization and decision-making skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to achieve project and business objectives.

Success in this role requires strong collaboration and communication across R&D, Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Procurement, external suppliers, and tool makers to ensure timely execution of project deliverables and organizational goals.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Polymer Engineering, or equivalent technical field.

Experience managing projects involving cross-functional teams and external partners.

Minimum 4 years relevant work experience required, preferably in injection molding, tooling, manufacturing engineering, R&D, or a highly regulated product development environment

Experience in injection molding, tooling, manufacturing engineering, product development, or a regulated product development environment.

Experience with CAD software; SolidWorks preferred.

Knowledge of injection molding processes, molded component design, manufacturability principles, metrology, inspection techniques, and problem-solving methodologies

Experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, dental, biotechnology, or other regulated industries is highly desirable
