Georgia Pacific’s Consumer Products group is looking for a Supply Planner/Senior Supply Planner to join our PRO TTN Supply Chain team in Atlanta, GA. The Supply Planner will develop and implement the production plans for the 13-week horizon for PRO Tissue in a way that optimizes inventory to meet our demand plans and minimize cost. The planner will leverage SAP and collaborate with manufacturing to develop a balanced plan. The ideal resource works to enable growth, monitors key performance indicators, coordinates cross-functionally and communicates the plans, initiatives, and efforts effectively. This position requires independent decision-making with minimal supervision.

Location: We are seeking candidates based in Atlanta, GA.

What You Will Do

  • Develop the 13-week production plans for a variety of product systems across 3 plants for the PRO mill network
  • Maintain inventory to cover demand needs. This includes customer promotions, new product introductions, run out plans during transitions, and phase-out plans of discontinued inventory
  • Evaluate short and medium-term capacity to help identify open opportunities or constraints which supports our RCCP process
  • Assist in the effort to implement rough cut planning in IBP/SAP system, including learning inputs such as item master data, capacity information, and network constraints and ensuring accurate set-up
  • Support the monthly S&OP Process by understanding changes in demand forecast, actual plant productivity variances, and re-planning where necessary
  • Run scenarios, as needed, when PRO Category proposes new business or there are changes to capacity. Analyze and communicate impacts to production plans
  • Partner across functional teams to share production plans, highlight risks, work through constraints, mitigate risk, drive alignment, and assist with plans to support distribution network changes such as warehouse storage changes
  • Assess competing priorities and make recommendations when facing supply constraints or changing business conditions
  • Share inventory and production capacity constraints, provide proactive solutions, and implement resolution action plans, with financial implications
  • Identify and implement process improvements and best practices

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelors degree in a Business or Supply Chain OR additional experience in a supply chain role
  • Experience in a Supply Planner or Supply Chain role
  • Experience or experience analyzing large, complex data sets
  • SAP S4 and IBP experience

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience participating in S&OP, and systems experience in SAP/IBP
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production planning, capacity planning, or inventory management activities
  • Experience presenting to leadership or leading process improvement initiatives
