Asset Servicing – Announcement Capture Utility – Associate

Join the Announcement Capture Operations team in Hong Kong and take ownership of high-risk, complex voluntary corporate action events. You will partner with teams across regions and functions to deliver accurate outcomes, manage risk, and resolve issues quickly. This role suits an experienced operations professional who can strengthen controls, drive improvements, and lead by example in a fast-paced environment.

As an Associate in Announcement Capture Operations, you will manage corporate action announcement capture from initial market announcement through event completion. You will support multiple internal businesses serving large institutional clients, requiring strong market knowledge and disciplined risk management. You will use systems and digital tools to monitor issues, improve workflows, and maintain consistent service delivery. You will also support the team by driving change, coaching others, and escalating risks with clear judgement.

Job responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end capture and maintenance of voluntary corporate action announcements through event completion, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Manage day-to-day processing within defined operating parameters, with a strong focus on quality and control discipline.
  • Assess operational risk and strengthen controls, especially in manual processes, to reduce errors and exceptions.
  • Drive process and technology improvements that increase efficiency and service performance.
  • Manage client queries and escalations, coordinating across local and global partners to deliver timely resolution.
  • Monitor service performance, identify recurring issues, and escalate key risks and processing challenges to management.
  • Partner with middle office, client service managers, product partners, and regional processing teams to support consistent delivery.
  • Support team effectiveness through knowledge sharing, coaching, and promoting accountability and continuous improvement.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor Degree
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in custody, prime brokerage, or asset servicing operations, with demonstrated responsibility for managing day-to-day delivery.
  • Strong understanding of asset servicing functions and process interdependencies, with focus on Asia-Pacific markets including Australia.
  • Strong analytical skills and sound judgement, with a track record of strengthening controls and driving change.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present operational risks and processing challenges clearly to management.
  • Proven experience delivering process enhancements and using digital tools to improve workflows.
    Ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines, and remain effective in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Demonstrated emerging leadership capability, including supporting and developing others within a team environment.

  • Experience supporting complex voluntary corporate action events with high operational risk.
  • Experience working across regional hubs and global partners in a follow-the-sun model.
  • Experience using service metrics to drive improvements and reduce repeat issues.
  • Developing experience using AI-powered analytics, workflow automation, or intelligent process tools to drive efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, or improve accuracy in operational processes
