Electrical Operator

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Tel Aviv Green Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) is a major mass-transit infrastructure project developed by NTA - Metropolitan Mass Transit System Ltd. It will extend over approximately 39 km, connecting Rishon LeZion and Holon in the south, crossing central Tel Aviv, and reaching Herzliya in the north.

The Electrical Operator (named Electrical Operation Nominated Person) is supporting the Temporary Operation organization to ensure a safe working environment in zones controlled by the Temporary Operation Team. In accordance with the Temporary Operation Instructions, he is changing the electrical configuration on site to allow working people to do their task (ie installation or test) in a safe environment, avoiding electrical shock or collision hazard.

MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

Mandatory:

Diploma as a Certified Electrical Technician/Practical Electrical Engineer.

Completion of a High-Voltage Restricted Electrician course.

Valid Certified Electrician license or higher.

Valid driving license.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Desirable:

Degree in Electrical Engineering.

Practical experience in electrical work.

Ability to read electrical drawings.

Experience

Mandatory:

• 2 years of operation experience in electrical environment.
• Environment, Health & Safety on Construction site.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of railway environment.

Competencies & Skills

• Able to handle pressure and make Operational decisions,
• Able to follow strict instructions (no deviation tolerated),
• Rigorous,
• Ability to understand the standards, requirements and their environment,
• Team spirit, ability to communicate and listen,
• English professional level.
• Additional Requirements: Willingness to work shifts and non-standard hours. Project-specific authorization is required before independent electrical operations.
