Overview
Microsoft 365 is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help shape the future of Exchange administration. This role spans the administration experiences and control-plane foundations used to manage Exchange Online, including the Exchange Admin Center (EAC), Exchange Online PowerShell, Admin APIs, and the multi-year modernization of the Cmdlet Infrastructure (CIM).
You will work at the intersection of customer experience, platform architecture, security, reliability, automation, AI, and cloud-scale administration, helping millions of administrators manage their organizations more efficiently and securely.
The Manageability and CIM organization owns the primary administration surfaces for Exchange Online:
- Exchange Admin Center (EAC).
- Exchange Online PowerShell.
- Exchange Admin API.
- Cmdlet Infrastructure modernization.
- Administration platform modernization and Graph readiness.
- Exchange administration experiences for future AI and Copilot scenarios.

Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap for Manageability and CIM investments.
- Partner closely with engineering, design, architecture, and security teams to drive end-to-end product delivery.
- Lead modernization efforts across Exchange administration experiences, APIs, and control-plane infrastructure.
- Drive API-first and Graph-aligned administration scenarios that simplify customer workflows.
- Translate customer feedback, telemetry, support escalations, and partner requirements into clear product priorities.
- Drive strategy and execution for admin experiences spanning UI, PowerShell, APIs, automation, and future agentic interfaces.
- Work across Exchange, Microsoft Graph, Entra, Security, Admin Center, and other Microsoft 365 teams to align priorities and resolve dependencies.
- Own customer-facing communications including roadmap updates, deprecation plans, preview programs, public documentation, Message Center communications, and launch readiness.
- Present product strategy, scenarios, business impact, and execution progress to senior leadership and customers.
- Use data and customer insights to balance long-term modernization investments with near-term customer commitments and operational excellence.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development.
- OR equivalent experience.
Other Requirements: Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 10+ years of product management, program management, or equivalent experience delivering cloud or enterprise software.
- Demonstrated success shipping complex platform, infrastructure, administration, or API products.
- Solid technical aptitude and ability to work effectively with engineers and architects.
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity and drive clarity across multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience defining roadmaps, priorities, success metrics, and business impact.
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Exchange, Microsoft Graph, PowerShell, Admin APIs, or enterprise administration platforms.
- Experience building developer platforms, APIs, infrastructure services, or management experiences.
- Solid understanding of identity, RBAC, authentication, and authorization systems.
- Experience with cloud-scale reliability, observability, and operational excellence.
- Familiarity with AI, Copilot, automation, and agentic workflows.
- MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
