Supply Operation Specialist

Job Description Summary

-Responsible for the site Master Data processes aimed to ensure accurate and timely creation and maintenance of the master data in the ERP System, in accordance with local and global requirements. -The Material Planner drives the tactical purchasing process for all materials to ensure materials availability and execution plan feasibility in accordance with Site inventory policy.

Job Description

Develop and manage inventory and procurement plans for assigned products, place purchase orders with internal and external suppliers, manage delivery schedules, and lead the resolution of supply-related issues in collaboration with relevant stakeholders. By ensuring the continuous and stable supply of assigned products, contribute to Sandoz Japan's business performance and achievement of budget targets.

In addition, ensure compliance with internal control requirements through appropriate inventory management, accurate system transactions, and master data maintenance, thereby contributing to the company's overall compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, monitor, and manage inventory and procurement plans for assigned products.
• Place purchase orders with domestic and global suppliers, manage and negotiate delivery schedules, and build strong working relationships with suppliers.
• Provide relevant internal stakeholders with timely updates on procurement and inventory status, and proactively identify business risks and propose mitigation actions.
• Manage and achieve key supply chain KPIs, including inventory value, write-off value, on-time delivery, and safety stock compliance.
• Perform daily operational activities in SAP, including purchase order processing, goods receipt, and invoice processing.
• Maintain SAP master data to improve operational efficiency and ensure appropriate system settings.
• Lead the resolution of supply issues, quality issues, and other product-related challenges in collaboration with relevant cross-functional teams.
• Proactively identify opportunities to improve existing processes and operations and drive greater operational efficiency.
• Lead weekly and monthly supply review meetings, including meeting facilitation and issuance of meeting minutes.

Candidate Profile

• Ability to assess market trends and supply conditions, develop hypotheses independently, and translate them into effective procurement plans.
• Ability to engage constructively with cross-functional stakeholders, including Business Units, SCM, RA, QA, and Finance, and lead discussions toward alignment and consensus.
• Ability to proactively identify supply constraints, demand fluctuations, and inventory risks at an early stage and lead mitigation actions in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt flexibly to a fast-changing environment and proactively drive continuous improvement.
• Strong interest in and willingness to contribute to process improvement, digitalization, automation, and the effective use of AI and other digital tools.

Nice to Have

• Experience in supply chain management and/or production planning, regardless of industry; procurement experience is preferred.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry, a GxP-regulated environment, manufacturing operations, or a plant environment.
• Hands-on experience with SAP MM and/or WM modules.
• Experience driving process automation and operational efficiency initiatives using tools such as Power Apps.
• Business-level English skills, particularly the ability to communicate via email and understand business documents.
