Salary range: The salary range for this specific role will be €110,000 – €120,000 gross per year. (The final salary will be determined based on relevant skills, experience, and role scope, in line with our objective and gender-neutral compensation framework.)

Job Summary

The Conducting Officer responsible for Valuation and NAV Controlling is accountable for the oversight of valuation, NAV controlling, and central administration activities across the Luxembourg AIFM. The role combines governance oversight, regulatory accountability, leadership, stakeholder management, and operational excellence, with a focus on investor protection and a robust control environment.

As a key member of senior management, you will ensure compliance with applicable Luxembourg and European regulatory requirements, including CSSF Circular 18/698, AIFMD, and ESMA guidance. You will work closely with fellow Conducting Officers to support growth through standalone third-party AIFM mandates and CSC’s integrated one-stop-shop offering (Fund Administration, Depositary Services, SPV Management, Corporate Services, and Governance Solutions). You will engage with Boards, clients, service providers, and where applicable the regulator, to support the delivery of the AIFM’s services and a consistently positive client experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the AIFM Valuation Governance Framework, including effective escalation procedures; establish, review, and maintain valuation policies and procedures in ongoing alignment with applicable regulatory requirements and governance standards.
• Ensure compliance with CSSF Circular 18/698, AIFMD, ESMA guidance, and applicable Luxembourg regulations; assess and implement regulatory developments impacting valuation and central administration.
• Oversee valuation methodologies, assumptions, and models, including independent validation processes; document and periodically review valuation methodologies applicable to each fund.
• Exercise independent regulatory judgement regarding valuation matters, including conflicts and exceptions; ensure investor protection considerations are embedded within the valuation process.
• Review and approve NAV calculations for funds under management; maintain oversight of NAV production controls, exceptions, and service levels; maintain robust procedures supporting central administration oversight.
• Support onboarding, lifecycle events, and structural changes affecting managed funds, including client onboarding and mandate transitions where applicable.
• Conduct due diligence of valuation agents, administrators, and delegated service providers; ensure delegated arrangements remain consistent with regulatory expectations and delegated oversight framework requirements.
• Monitor service delivery, KPI performance, and remediation activities; challenge providers and assess control effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
• Provide at least quarterly reporting to the Board of Managers regarding valuation activity and emerging risks; escalate material issues, breaches, and valuation exceptions to Boards and committees; monitor valuation-related risks and contribute to the AIFM risk management framework.
• Act as a senior point of contact for clients regarding valuation governance and NAV oversight matters; build effective relationships with investment managers, depositaries, auditors, and regulators; deliver a high standard of service and client experience while maintaining independent oversight; support internal audits, external audits, and regulatory inspections; lead, mentor, and develop staff; support recruitment, succession planning, and talent development; promote a culture of accountability, regulatory excellence, and continuous improvement; contribute to strategic initiatives, operating model enhancements, and business growth.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in the Luxembourg investment funds industry, including significant exposure to third-party management company environments, with strong expertise in alternative funds, fund governance, portfolio valuations, and NAV oversight.
• Good understanding of AIFM, Fund Administration, Depositary, and SPV Management operating models.
• Strong knowledge of AIFM regulations, Luxembourg fund legislation, CSSF requirements, and ESMA guidance.
• Deep understanding of valuation governance and NAV oversight.
• Knowledge of delegated oversight frameworks.
• Strong understanding of AML/CFT, compliance, governance, and risk management frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with fellow Conducting Officers and peers; collaborate effectively across the business; build alignment with AIFM peers, global leaders, and local Luxembourg business leaders; support strategic objectives of the organisation.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Conducting Officer responsible for Valuations and NAV Controlling.
• Track record of developing and growing regulated financial services businesses.
• French, German, Luxembourgish, or additional European languages.
