Android Developer

Proxiad SEE is an IT consulting and software development company, part of Proxiad Group France. Operating in Bulgaria and North Macedonia, we employ over 250 professionals skilled in various sectors: healthcare, finance, e-commerce and retail, transport & logistics, procurement. We're also the company behind two software solutions for office work – our workplace management software, Desk Buddy, and our performance management software, GROW.

About the project:

In partnership with a major French banking group, we are on a mission to build a team located in Bulgaria and North Macedonia, starting with an opening for an Android Developer.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
• Build scalable, reliable, and user-friendly mobile solutions.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, QA, and backend teams.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decisions.
• Troubleshoot, test, and optimize application performance.
• Stay up to date with the latest Android technologies and best practices.

Requirements:

• 4+ years of commercial Android development experience with Kotlin
• Solid knowledge of the Android SDK, with hands-on experience in Jetpack Compose and/or XML layouts
• Experience with architectural patterns such as MVVM or Clean Architecture
• Experience integrating RESTful APIs (e.g., Retrofit, OkHttp)
• Experience with unit and UI testing (JUnit, Espresso)
• Proficiency with Git and code review workflows

Nice to have:

• Experience in banking, fintech, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of mobile security practices (Android Keystore, secure data storage, biometric authentication)
• Experience with CI/CD for mobile (e.g., Fastlane, Bitrise, GitHub Actions)
• Experience publishing and maintaining apps on Google Play
• French language skills
