Your Role

As a SAP BTP Test Consultant / Test Automation Lead at Capgemini, you will lead quality engineering initiatives for SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions, ensuring robust testing practices across cloud applications, integrations, APIs, and SAP Fiori/UI5 experiences. You will be responsible for driving test automation strategies, establishing CI/CD quality gates, and enabling scalable testing frameworks that support rapid and reliable releases.

This role requires deep expertise in SAP ecosystems, modern testing methodologies, automation frameworks, and cloud-native quality engineering practices. You will collaborate with business, functional, development, integration, and DevOps teams to ensure high-quality delivery across SAP BTP applications and services.

Responsibilities & Scope

• Lead end-to-end testing activities for SAP BTP applications and cloud-based solutions.
• Design and implement test strategies covering functional, integration, regression, API, and end-to-end testing.
• Drive test automation initiatives to improve quality, delivery speed, and regression coverage.
• Validate SAP Fiori/UI5 applications, ensuring functionality, usability, and performance expectations are met.
• Perform integration testing across SAP and non-SAP systems, ensuring reliable data flows and business process continuity.
• Develop and maintain API testing frameworks for cloud services, integrations, and microservices.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality assurance and release readiness.
• Establish test metrics, dashboards, and quality reporting for technical and business stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and architecture teams to define quality standards and testing best practices.
• Identify testing risks, quality gaps, and automation opportunities while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

As Test Automation Engineer, you are involved in the automated verification and validation of products made by engineers in a development process. Your technical and professional knowledge of Test Automation, programming, test environments and methodologies is solid. With your knowledge and experience with one or more test tools and test techniques, you can independently design and execute test automation solutions. You follow the latest developments in your field and you know what is going on.

Job Description - Grade Specific

As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you are required to have experience working on different automation tools such as UFT and Selenium. In addition to developing and executing automation scripts, you are also expected to resolve technical issues wrt automation, provide input to improve effectiveness. You are also expected to mentor junior engineers.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Software Testing, Quality Engineering, or Test Automation.
• 3+ years of experience testing SAP BTP applications and cloud-based SAP solutions.
• Strong experience with API testing, integration testing, and end-to-end business process validation.
• Hands-on experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 testing and validation.
• Experience designing and implementing automated testing frameworks and regression suites.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD processes and automated quality gates.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, SAP integration technologies, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile and DevOps delivery environments.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
