The Team

At Euroclear, compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), sanctions, and other financial crime regulations is fundamental to our operations.

Our AML/KYC Control Framework ensures that we maintain the highest standards of integrity and transparency, safeguarding our systems, clients, and the broader financial ecosystem from misuse for illicit activities.

As a KYC Screening Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting Euroclear's Financial Crime Prevention Control Framework by performing screening and risk assessment activities designed to identify potential sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEP), adverse media, and other financial crime risks. Through your contribution, Euroclear can continue to fulfil its mission while maintaining compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Your primary responsibility will be the execution of daily and periodic screening activities for Funds EB clients, where applicable, in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Review, analyse, and investigate sanctions, PEP, adverse media, and other screening alerts generated through screening systems and external intelligence providers.
  • Use internal tools and public sources to identify and assess potential financial crime risks, enriching system records with relevant findings and supporting documentation.
  • Execute controls and operational activities designed to prevent, detect, and mitigate financial crime risks.
  • Document investigations and decisions accurately, ensuring complete and auditable records within the case management systems.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Compliance, KYC Operations, Client Services, and other business functions, as required.
  • Support screening-related data quality, remediation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to strengthening internal controls and enhancing the effectiveness of screening processes.
  • Escalate potential matches, higher-risk findings, or control weaknesses to the appropriate stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Report operational metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management as required.
  • Utilise tools such as PEGA, Dow Jones Factiva, World-Check, and other screening platforms to support daily activities.

Qualifications

  • Professional qualification in Compliance, AML, Financial Crime Prevention, or a related field is considered an advantage.
  • Experience in AML/KYC, sanctions screening, adverse media reviews, compliance, financial crime prevention, or related operational activities.
  • Familiarity with screening tools and databases such as Dow Jones Factiva, World-Check, PEGA, NetReveal, or similar platforms.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and research capabilities.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform accurate risk-based assessments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Understanding of AML, sanctions, and financial crime regulatory requirements is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the financial services or fund industry would be considered an advantage.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin is a must.
