Executive, Loan Administration & Treasury

About The Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Executive, Loan Administration & Treasury to join our Financial Planning & Analysis team. The role will support the management of the Company's borrowings, loan administration, treasury activities, cash flow planning and CAPEX forecasting. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders, financial institutions, auditors and other relevant parties to ensure financial obligations are properly managed, reporting requirements are met, and sufficient funding is available to support the Company's operational and investment requirements. This position provides good exposure to corporate treasury, financing, cash-flow management and financial reporting within a large and dynamic organization.

Key Responsibilities

i. Loan Administration & Financing

  • Manage and monitor loan repayment schedules, interest payments and other financing-related fees to ensure timely and accurate payment.
  • Prepare fund transfer and payment instruction letters to support the Company's financial obligations.
  • Assist in the administration and monitoring of existing and new borrowings.
  • Maintain accurate records and supporting documentation relating to loans, financing facilities and treasury transactions.
  • Support the Assistant Manager and Head of Financial Planning & Analysis on loan and treasury-related matters.

ii. Cash Flow & CAPEX Forecasting

  • Prepare and maintain weekly and monthly cash-flow forecasts to support effective liquidity planning.
  • Monitor actual and forecasted CAPEX expenditure and incorporate expected payments into the Company's cash-flow planning.
  • Work closely with Project Integration, Engineering, IT, Marine, Operations, Accounts Payable and other relevant functions to obtain updated CAPEX estimates and payment requirements.
  • Ensure sufficient funds are planned and available to meet upcoming financial obligations.
  • Support the preparation of financial information required for EXCO, Board, Audit Committee and other Management reporting requirements.

iii. Treasury & Financial Reporting

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual treasury and loan-related reports.
  • Prepare and process monthly Loan Journal Vouchers in the relevant financial system.
  • Prepare term-loan interest calculations and related financing schedules.
  • Prepare reports on borrowings, cash and deposit positions and foreign exchange exposure.
  • Support the preparation of treasury and loan consolidation reporting.
  • Assist in the preparation of half-yearly and annual financial management accounts.
  • Prepare and review relevant bank reconciliation reports.
  • Support the preparation of information relating to bank guarantees, CAPEX milestones, hedging and other treasury requirements.

iv. Loan Covenants & Compliance

  • Monitor and calculate applicable financial covenants and financial ratios in accordance with financing agreements.
  • Ensure covenant requirements are monitored and reported accurately and within the required timelines.
  • Liaise with external auditors on confirmation and verification of compliance certificates relating to financial ratios.
  • Assist in preparing reports, information and updates required under borrowing agreements and other lender-imposed covenants.
  • Maintain proper supporting documentation to facilitate internal review, audit and compliance requirements.

v. Stakeholder Management

  • Liaise with internal departments and divisions to obtain timely and accurate financial information.
  • Coordinate with banks, lenders, auditors and other external stakeholders on relevant treasury and financing matters.
  • Build effective working relationships with key stakeholders to support timely financial planning, reporting and decision-making.
  • Respond to finance and treasury-related information requests as required.

vi. Other Responsibilities

  • Maintain proper records and documentation in accordance with Company policies and governance requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives within loan administration, treasury and financial planning processes.
  • Undertake other finance-related assignments and ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by the superior.

Requirement

  • Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Banking, Business Studies or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in accounting operations, finance, treasury, banking, cash-flow management or a related field.
  • Exposure to treasury operations, loan administration, corporate financing, cash-flow forecasting or banking would be an added advantage.
  • Good numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated, organized and able to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Comfortable working with financial data, reports and supporting documentation.
  • Fresh graduates with strong academic exposure to Finance, Accounting, Banking or Treasury may also be considered, subject to suitability.
