Game Design - Intern

Internship Duration- 3 month and 19 Days Starting in January 2027

EA SPORTS™ FC Mobile is the world's most played football game on the mobile platform, serving millions of players globally. Our Kuala Lumpur team is an integral part of our global development efforts, and we invite you to join us in creating the largest sports game in the world.

Location & Work Model: Onsite in Kuala Lumpur

As a Game Design intern for FC Mobile, you will work closely with a talented team of designers, engineers, testers, and product owners. Under the mentorship of experienced designers, your role will involve design engaging gameplay experiences and innovative features that align with player expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on design ideation, live campaign/event concepts, and documentation.
  • Assist in configuring live-service content, event rewards, and player database updates (using spreadsheets and internal tools).
  • Help track and integrate real-world football events (e.g., matches, transfers, player performance) into in-game live content.
  • Contribute with playtesting, design, and UI/UX feedback.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to learn about and contribute to live service game operations and player experiences.
  • Qualifications
  • Currently studying Game Design.
  • Passionate about making and playing games (especially mobile titles).
  • A proactive learner with strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (to facilitate collaboration with regional teams).
  • Deep passion for football (soccer) is highly beneficial; you should be actively following and up to date with the current real-world football scene (leagues, tournaments, players, and global football trends).
  • Experience with PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Figma.
