MacGregor – Let's shape the future together
We are looking for a Purchaser who will support assigned projects and assist the project manager in purchasing-related activities.
As a Purchaser, you will help track item costs and budgets within assigned projects, assisting in monitoring and reporting any budget deviations to the project manager.
In addition, you will learn and ensure that your daily tasks align with the Integrated Management System (IMS), Project Executing Model (PEM), and local QEHS systems, rules, and requirements.
More tasks and responsibilities
- Serve as a daily purchasing contact for assigned projects
- Assist in monitoring project item budgets and support monthly deviation reporting to the project manager
- Maintain accurate supplier data and updated prices in the ERP system
- Process purchase requisitions, place POs, follow up on deliveries, and assist with basic price negotiations
- Support the handling of Free Issued Items (FII) to ensure on-time delivery to the production site
- Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings
- Log and follow up on basic supplier claims regarding quality, scope, or delivery issues
- Work towards achieving individual KPIs and contributing to overall department goals
The position is located in Kristiansand, Norway and reporting directly to the Manager, Purchasing
What you’ll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic, organized, and proactive team player with good communication skills, eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally you have
- Bachelor's degree (preferred fields include Business Administration, Procurement, Logistics Management, or relevant technical/commercial studies)
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in purchasing, logistics, or supply chain
- Familiarity with ERP systems and standard Microsoft Office tools (Excel)
- Strong willingness to learn, adapt, and build technical/commercial knowledge
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
