Summer Student - Computer Vision/Digital Twin Researcher
- DNV
- Oslo, Norway
- NOK 400,000 – NOK 500,000
In Maritime Research we focus on researching and piloting solutions for new and existing DNV maritime services.
Currently, one of our main tasks is to prototype solutions that can make our ship inspection services safer and more efficient through utilizing remote surveys and AI. When inspection data is collected remotely, whether through robotics, humans, or other means, it is essential that the inspection data is presented to our human expert surveyors in a way that lets them evaluate the data efficiently and thoroughly. For this, we use AI to assist in the evaluation, and digital twins for a structured presentation of the data.
Typical tasks as a Computer Vision/Digital Twin researcher in Group Research & Development would be:
- Develop Computer vision algorithms for evaluating the condition of critical assets.
- Interpretation of inspection data for supporting a structured representation in the digital twin.
- Develop technologies for supporting remote data collection.
