Hours & Roster Details:

  • Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time
  • Hours: Average 32 Hours per week
  • Shift Time: Shifts rostered between 0600-1630, with occasional 0430-1230 when required to deliver laundry.
  • Roster Pattern: 4 days on, 2 days off (6-weekly rotating roster across Monday - Sunday)

The purpose of this job

Located in Blockhouse Bay, West Auckland Laundry is our dedicated central laundry facility servicing Auckland regional care homes for over the last 10 years.

As a Laundry Worker you will:

  • Ensure all care is taken with the residents' personal clothing and is returned to owners
  • Operate all laundry equipment as specified
  • Meeting of daily schedules to keep laundry up to date and advising Managers of any issues
  • Maintaining clean/dirty delineation areas within the laundry
  • Monitoring of linen supplies and advising line manager of replacement needs
  • Ensure all residents are treated with dignity and respect

What you’ll need to make it possible

  • Previous experience working in a commercial laundry is preferred, but training will be provided

  • Be a proactive team player who can work independently and pitch in where needed

  • Empathetic, enthusiastic, and passionate about making a positive difference for residents

  • Available to work rotating rostered shifts, including weekends

  • Reliable transport and travel arrangements

  • Applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand
