We have a permanent opportunity for an Executive Assistant to provide high quality and effective administrative support to the Deputy Commissioner (DC), the Enterprise & Integrity Services (E&IS). In this role you will work closely with the DC, Management Support to the DC, your peers, team members and Team Lead to deliver a consistent level of customer focused service. You will work within the Executive Services Team and take an administrative lead across the E&IS Team.

You will be experienced in managing a busy diary and be proactive.

In this varied role you will provide one to one executive support to the DC, always be one step ahead in a busy paced environment, enjoy working as part of a team and contributing to the overall running E&IS. This role provides the environment for you to mentor and guide others within the wider group and to assist with planning days.

Working within the Executive Services team provides a fun, fast-paced and exciting environment for you to learn and grow. Strong relationships skills are essential in working closely with the DC’s Management Support, the Executive Assistant to the Commissioner; the DC’s leadership team and the wider support network to the Executive Leadership Team. You will be a key point of contact for the DC.

Being proactive, being able to prioritise, manage a busy diary, multi-task and all with a calm, professional manner will be second nature to you. This role will require you to be the key support for some meetings, and to set agendas, attend the meetings and take notes.

To be successful in this position you will possess some of the following attributes:

  • Self-motivated and proactive
  • Experience in a senior PA/administrative or business support role, alongside a sound understanding of MS Office
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills with the ability to liaise with senior management and other business support teams to deliver priorities and outcomes
  • A strong sense of curiosity and an interest in learning new systems and ways of working and feedback
  • Excellent communication skills, organisational and time management skills
  • Communicate professionally and tailor your approach to different stakeholders
  • Take pride in delivering quality work and managing information with care
  • Adept in identifying opportunities, processes improvement and risk minimisation which add value to the team and your leaders
  • The ability to organise and plan, to multi-task and to juggle competing priorities
  • Ability to coach and mentor Business Support team members, sharing your expertise
  • A keen understanding of the need for confidentiality and a high level of integrity
  • A friendly 'can-do' attitude and the willingness to pitch in and support the wider team when required
