He kōrero whakamārama mō tēnei tūranga | About the Role
We are looking for an organised and customer-focused DN Scheduler to support the smooth coordination of District Nursing services in the community.

This role plays an important part in managing referral flow, maintaining accurate schedules, and supporting the nursing team to respond to client needs within required timeframes.

You will be a key connection point between the District Nursing team, referral centre, regional teams, clients, and external health providers.

This is a full time, Thursday-Monday role, Flexibility to work from home Saturday & Sunday.

Ō Mahi | What You’ll Do

  • Receive and allocate District Nursing referrals in line with service delivery timeframes
  • Maintain nurse schedules and update rosters as referral information, nurse feedback, or priorities change
  • Help coordinate coverage when absences or service changes may affect client visits
  • Keep referral, roster, and client information accurate across relevant systems
  • Communicate professionally with nurses, clients, ACC, GP practices, referrers, and internal teams
  • Escalate risks, issues, or rapid-response referrals to the appropriate nursing lead
  • Provide administration support where required, including referral closure and follow-up documentation

Mōhou Ake | About You

  • Excellent time management, coordination, and prioritisation skills
  • Understanding of, or interest in, working within a healthcare environment
  • Strong computer literacy and attention to detail
  • Clear communication skills and a genuine commitment to quality customer service
  • Confident problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with clinical teams, referrers, clients, and stakeholders
  • Experience with Alaya Care is an advantage
