Systems Engineer II - Display Services

As a Systems Engineer II - Display Services, you will work in a fast-paced and exciting development environment with a team of experienced systems and software engineers to satisfy technical requirements, support functional load deliveries and ensure compliance with certification requirements. You will report to our Sr Engineering Manager and will work out of our Aguadilla, Puerto Rico location. External hires will begin with 90 days onsite before transitioning to a hybrid (3/2) work schedule.

Join our dynamic Display Services team at Honeywell Aerospace, where we design, develop, and integrate highly complex systems for our Anthem Next Generation Avionics project. We are on the lookout for a Systems Engineer II who is passionate about developing and defining software requirements that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

  • Participate in the development, systems integration, and verification of core Displays Apps to be hosted on the Next Generation Avionics Platform.
  • Avionics or embedded Systems development and requirement definition.
  • Support the design and development of advanced systems, including hardware, software, and network components.
  • Support the successful execution of complex engineering projects.
  • Participate in the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring they are installed correctly, tested rigorously, and perform optimally.
  • Test and Integration on test benches in labs
  • System Verification and Validation

Travel up to 10%, may be expected.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering in the domain of Avionics, Flight Management or Flight Guidance
  • 3+ years of experience with systems integration, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • 3+ years of advanced systems engineering technologies experience.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as Engineering, Systems or Computer Science.
  • Knowledge of software configuration and change management practices with DOORS NG and Atlassian tools
  • Knowledge of Agile development processes
  • Diverse and global teaming and collaboration experience
  • Knowledge of DO-178B/C and ARP-4754
  • ARINC 429 and signal debug capability
  • Systems/software requirements development, validation, integration and/or verification
  • Model based system design (using Simulink, preferred)
  • Arinc 661 graphics development (using Scade, preferred)
  • Knowledge of software configuration management and change management practices
  • Knowledge of system certification requirements and documentation
  • Familiarity with JIRA, Bitbucket, DOORS NG, and Confluence
