Transformation Programme Director

DB Global Technology is Deutsche Bank’s technology center in Central and Eastern Europe. The Transformation and Remediation Team in Global Procurement drives strategic change to improve performance, cost efficiency, and operational risk management across the bank.

We work in close partnership across the bank, combining innovation, collaboration, and strong execution to deliver measurable business value.

The team designs and delivers best-in-class procurement frameworks, processes, tools, and data capabilities to embed procurement excellence across the organization.

The Global Procurement (GP) function enables our bank to optimize supplier relationships to meet its strategic objectives by:

  • Partnering across the bank to develop and execute strategies to meet our business requirements
  • Applying our understanding of the supply market and specialized procurement capabilities to optimize value created
  • Enabling the bank to access suppliers by identifying and mitigating vendor risks
  • Managing the platforms to enable efficient and compliant purchasing of goods and services

Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of the Process Orchestration Programme, driving standardization, digitization, and optimization of procurement processes across the bank
  • Own programme execution across strategy, design, build, deployment, and optimization, ensuring delivery to scope, milestones, budget, and outcomes
  • Partner across Process, Data, Controls, Technology, and Operations to deliver an integrated operating model, strong governance, and effective stakeholder alignment
  • Embed controls, regulatory requirements, and measurable benefits into the programme, with clear success metrics and transparent reporting to senior leadership
  • Drive change adoption and continuous improvement, including the use of AI-enabled capabilities to improve user experience, decision-making, productivity, and process outcomes
  • Build and lead a high-performing cross-functional programme team across internal resources, vendors, and delivery partners

Skills:

  • Strong experience in Financial Services, with a solid understanding of front-to-back processes, third-party service delivery, and procurement operating models
  • Proven track record leading complex transformation programs from strategy through execution, ideally within Procurement or a related control environment
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and change delivery skills across global, cross-functional organizations
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, fast-paced environments with multiple competing priorities
  • Experience driving AI adoption or applying AI-enabled solutions to improve processes, decision-making, user experience, or operational efficiency
  • Ability to build strong rapport with senior leaders with experience in impactful communications
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Significant experience of global, complex, transformation programs at scale
  • Confidence to challenge priorities, decisions, and visions/strategies
  • Strategic agility to create strategies, anticipating future consequences and trends from internal and market perspectives, and ability to articulate potential scenarios and resulting future opportunities
  • Strong leadership skills in managing and collaborating with internal and external service providers
  • Strength to make decisions and impact recommendations
  • A strong execution focus, and ability to think strategically about the business, overcome challenges and deliver results that match its changing needs
  • Ability to positively influence people to overcome obstacles, demonstrate high levels of integrity and fairness, be engaging with others and be viewed as authentic
