The opportunity
We are searching for a highly motivated Strategic Buyer to join our dynamic and fast-paced work environment. As a Strategic Buyer at Hitachi Energy, you will play a key role in driving our sourcing and supplier management activities while supporting our continued growth in Landskrona. Close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders is essential, together with strong communication and problem-solving skills to ensure successful outcomes. You will join a dynamic team of 15 colleagues and report to the Procurement Manager. In this role, you will lead strategic sourcing activities for your categories and suppliers, ensuring cost-efficient and reliable solutions. Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders will be key to your success. Our office is in Landskrona, just a 30-minute train ride from Malmö.
How you’ll make an impact
- Develop and optimize the supply base with a focus on delivery, quality, and total cost.
- Identify and qualify new suppliers in partnership with quality and engineering teams.
- Lead supplier performance evaluations and drive improvement initiatives.
- Manage RFQs, tenders, and negotiate terms and conditions.
- Handle contracting processes (NDA, frame agreements, general terms) in line with business directives.
- Lead, own and deliver cost improvement initiatives
- Take ownership of SCM-related topics to support business objectives.
Your background
- A degree in Business, Engineering, or relevant work experience.
- Excellent communication and networking skills, combined with strong problem-solving ability.
- High sense of ownership and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel.
- Fluency in English and Swedish is required.
- Experience with SAP and manufacturing industries is advantageous, and a genuine interest in technology will help you succeed in this role.
