Siemens Mobility Thailand is looking for a Process Automation Engineer (Junior level) for Network Control Systems in the field of Railway Electrification in Bangkok.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and deliver process automation engineering solutions for DC and AC Traction Power Supply (TPS) substations, including control, protection, and software design documentation.
  • Design and configure substation control systems, protection relays, and HMI/GUI applications, while supporting internal and customer acceptance testing activities.
  • Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation, and commissioning phases by troubleshooting issues and responding to technical inquiries.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces and integration of electrical systems within traction and service substations, ensuring seamless system functionality and compliance.
  • Manage assigned engineering work packages and support bid, project execution, and customer/supplier technical discussions through effective planning, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.

Use your skills to move the world forward

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronics, Control & Instrumentation, or a related discipline, with 1-3 years of relevant experience in power distribution, electrical control, protection, and automation systems.
  • Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI systems, preferably Siemens SIMATIC products (STEP7, WINCC, TIA Portal), with knowledge of IEC 61131-3, C/C++, C#, and software engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication protocols and standards, including Profinet, Profibus, Modbus, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-101/104, and IEC 61850, as well as communication networks and supervisory control systems.
  • Basic knowledge of traction power supply systems, substation control and protection, energy transmission and distribution, and relevant European and international standards; experience with Power SCADA, commissioning, and digital protection relays is an advantage.
  • Strong English communication skills with the ability to work in international and multicultural project environments, develop scalable software solutions, leverage AI-enabled tools, and contribute to railway electrification and process automation projects.
