Program Manager (Solar)
- New Energy Nexus
- Bangkok, Thailand
- THB 1,200,000 – THB 1,800,000
The Organization
New Energy Nexus (www.newenergynexus.com) is an international NGO that supports climate solutions and builds a more equitable clean energy economy. Our laser focus is on clean energy entrepreneurs: providing them with funds, accelerators, and networks to thrive. They are our main audience and our agent of change. We started in California in 2004 and now operate across China, India, Southeast Asia, East and West Africa, and Australia. We have leveraged US$5.4 billion in investment and supported more than 11,000 entrepreneurs.
In Thailand, New Energy Nexus is building the country's clean energy workforce, supporting entrepreneurs, and strengthening the enabling ecosystem needed to rapidly scale distributed renewable energy.
The Role
Thailand is entering a critical period of distributed solar growth. Achieving national energy security and decarbonization goals will require not only technology and financing, but also a highly skilled workforce capable of designing, installing, financing and maintaining rooftop solar and energy storage systems.
New Energy Nexus Thailand is seeking a hands-on solar program leader to design, manage and grow its solar market activation and workforce-development programs.
The Program Manager (Solar) will own programs end to end – from program design, work planning and partnership development through implementation, budget management, reporting and impact measurement.
The role requires practical understanding of commercial and industrial solar project development. The successful candidate should understand how customers, EPC companies, installers, equipment suppliers, financing partners and regulatory stakeholders work together to enable solar projects.
Working closely with government agencies, industry associations, utilities, financial institutions and solar companies, the Program Manager (Solar) will help build a stronger solar installation ecosystem while creating new employment opportunities across Thailand.
