In this position, you will work hand-in-hand with a diverse range of educated professionals with backgrounds in hydrology and geology; soil and environmental science; civil, chemical, and environmental engineering; geographic information system (GIS) and computer drafting; and field and laboratory technology. You will tackle a wide-range of clients’ challenges related to management and development of natural resources and the environment, such as evaluating and abating water quality impacts or providing critical infrastructure to underserved communities. As a subsidiary of Geo-Logic Associates, DBS&A has access to 400 diverse professionals and 30 offices in the U.S. and Peru. More about this opportunity on a day-to-day basis

  • You want to apply your bachelor's or master's degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering to support the planning, design, and construction of municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You'll work on a diverse range of projects, including water distribution systems, wastewater collection systems, pump stations, treatment facilities, storage tanks, and utility improvements that serve communities throughout the region.

Required Qualifications

  • You have experience or interest in water and wastewater engineering, utility infrastructure, water resources, stormwater management, treatment systems, or other municipal public works projects.

  • You are knowledgeable about engineering design, including plans, specifications, hydraulic calculations, technical reports, and cost estimating, and are looking to expand upon your four or more years of professional experience.

  • You are willing to travel to project sites. Travel opportunities may include field investigations, construction observation, client meetings, and project coordination activities.

  • You are organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and independent decision-making skills.

  • You understand and value workplace safety and have familiarity with construction site safety protocols. OSHA HAZWOPER certification is a plus.

  • You have experience working with state and federal regulations applicable to public infrastructure projects and are comfortable coordinating with regulatory agencies, municipalities, and other stakeholders.

  • You have the ability to work collaboratively with and/or direct multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, GIS specialists, and CAD designers working on projects across multiple states. Project management experience, or a desire to grow into a project management role, is preferred.

  • You are highly effective in written and verbal communication and are comfortable presenting technical information to engineers, municipal staff, regulatory agencies, elected officials, and the public.

  • You are a licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or have the ability to obtain PE licensure within two years.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, hydraulic modeling software (e.g., WaterCAD, SewerGEMS, InfoWater), or similar engineering and geospatial tools is a plus.

Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record acceptable to our insurer
