Deburr Technician

Location: Derby, KS

Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour,

Job Purpose

BG Products, Inc. – Tools & Equipment Division located in Derby, Kansas manufactures and distributes a broad line of specialty Tools/Equipment for use in the Automotive Professional Trade Industry through a network of distributors worldwide.

The Deburr Technician position will work in collaboration with the Manufacturing Team to utilize a wide variety of hand and mechanical tools to deburr and polish machined parts.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Adheres to company polices and presents a professional, positive attitude at all times.
• Polish, clean, break edges and produce a matte finish on precision machined parts made of a variety of materials to specified requirements and tolerances.
• Utilize production work orders, documents, drawings, and specifications, written or oral instructions to perform tasks necessary to meet production requirements.
• Identify and report defective equipment, materials, and faulty operations to supervision.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and increased efficiency.
• Maintain safe working practices and ensure area is clean and free of any possible unsafe situations.
• Demonstrate good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity and the desire to work in a manufacturing environment.
• Responsible for deburr and finish operations on the appropriate jobs in the order needed to meet production schedules.
• Ensure all parts of paperwork and documentation are completed properly.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· (1-3) years of Deburr experience preferred.

· On-the-job training will be provided for specific job assignments.
