Java Full Stack Developer

The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Full Stack Java Developer to build, enhance, and maintain scalable enterprise applications across both backend and frontend technologies. This position focuses on developing robust Java-based services, modern web interfaces, database integrations, and cloud-enabled applications while following strong engineering and development practices.

The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, React.js, and modern application development, along with the ability to contribute across the complete software development lifecycle.

• Experience: 7 – 9 years
• Work Location: Phoenix, AZ (100% onsite). Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance. Relocation is not available
• Project Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Create scalable and reliable backend services supporting business-critical applications.
• Develop RESTful APIs and microservices with a focus on performance, maintainability, and security.
• Build modern, responsive user interfaces using React.js, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Create reusable frontend components and maintain consistent application functionality across web interfaces.
• Connect applications with relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DynamoDB.
• Develop efficient database interactions and support application data integration requirements.
• Integrate backend and frontend applications with external services, APIs, and cloud-based platforms.
• Participate in application architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
• Perform peer code reviews and follow established coding standards and development practices.
• Develop and maintain automated unit, integration, and application-level tests.
• Support continuous integration and continuous delivery processes across development environments.
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective technical solutions.
• Assist with application releases, production deployments, and post-deployment support activities.
• Work closely with product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, technical discussions, and delivery activities.
• Continuously evaluate development practices and recommend improvements to application quality and performance.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
• Strong professional experience developing enterprise applications using Java.
• Hands-on expertise with Spring Boot and development of RESTful web services.
• Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed application development.
• Extensive experience with React.js and modern frontend development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience designing and consuming REST APIs and integrating applications with external services.
• Strong experience working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and Oracle.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, software design principles, and application architecture.
• Experience with Git for source control and collaborative software development.
• Hands-on experience with Maven for project and dependency management.
• Understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience working with Jenkins or similar automation platforms.
• Experience working with containerized applications and Kubernetes environments.
• Familiarity with AWS services and cloud-based application development.
• Strong understanding of software testing, debugging, performance optimization, and production support.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience developing large-scale enterprise applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong knowledge of advanced React.js development patterns and frontend application architecture.
• Experience deploying Java-based applications to AWS cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container-based application deployment.
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.
• Familiarity with cloud-native application architecture and distributed systems.
• Experience working with both relational and NoSQL data platforms.
• Knowledge of application security, secure coding practices, and API protection mechanisms.
• Experience working with automated testing frameworks and quality engineering practices.
• Familiarity with modern DevOps tools and development automation.
• Experience working in large Agile engineering teams and enterprise delivery environments.
