The Data Specialis t plays a key role in supporting vendor management, tax and IRS/1099 administration, Master Data Management (MDM), and business process automation initiatives across the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring vendor compliance, managing MDM-related activities, and providing exceptional customer support through regular interaction with internal and external stakeholders. Data Specialists contribute to innovative, customer-focused solutions that enhance operational efficiency and drive business productivity.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Collaborate with business partners and cross-functional teams to deliver efficient and effective customer solutions and services.
· Contribute ideas and recommendations as an active member of a collaborative team environment.
· Assist in the creation, maintenance, and administration of the corporate repository for vendor tax and IRS documentation.
· Perform daily, monthly, and quarterly vendor compliance activities to ensure data accuracy and regulatory adherence.
· Support Master Data Management (MDM) operations and data governance processes.
· Participate in departmental and enterprise-wide projects as assigned.
· Maintain positive and professional relationships with customers and stakeholders.
· Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
· Working knowledge of Microsoft-based applications, platforms, technologies, and tools.
· Understanding of database integration concepts and basic SQL Server query language.
· Proficient project management and organizational skills.
· Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and customer service communication skills.
· Self-motivated, proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
· Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on process improvement and operational efficiency.
· Ability to adapt quickly to changing business needs and technology platforms.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
· Minimum of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in a mid-sized to large organization with 100+ employees.
· Demonstrated experience working in customer-facing or stakeholder-focused roles, with the ability to effectively communicate business objectives, context, and solutions to diverse audiences.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across departments and organizational levels.
· Proven ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, and actionable communications.
· Experience balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced business environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
