Position Overview

We are seeking an IT Deployment Technician to support enterprise-wide device deployment, refresh, break/fix, and end-user support initiatives within a healthcare environment. This individual will play a key role in workstation deployments, imaging activities, hardware troubleshooting, and equipment lifecycle management while providing exceptional customer service to clinical and non-clinical staff.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with hardware support, operating system deployments, endpoint management tools, and end-user troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, image, and refresh desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, and peripheral equipment.
  • Perform hardware break/fix support for desktops, laptops, printers, barcode scanners, and other end-user devices.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and peripheral issues.
  • Support large-scale workstation deployment and technology refresh projects across multiple locations.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and enterprise applications.
  • Utilize Intune, Ivanti, and other endpoint management tools to provision and manage devices.
  • Perform device replacements, upgrades, warranty repairs, and hardware component swaps.
  • Troubleshoot printer issues, including support for HP, Zebra, and Intermec devices.
  • Conduct data transfers, workstation migrations, and user profile restorations as part of deployment activities.
  • Support end users by resolving technical issues related to devices, peripherals, and connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot basic network connectivity issues, including network jacks, cabling, and workstation communication problems.
  • Document all work performed within the ticketing system and maintain accurate asset records.
  • Manage and resolve approximately 10-15 support tickets per day while maintaining service level expectations.
  • Coordinate with infrastructure, networking, and application teams to resolve escalated issues.
  • Follow established deployment, security, and healthcare compliance procedures.

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in IT Deployment, Desktop Support, Field Services, or Hardware Support.
  • Strong hands-on experience performing hardware break/fix repairs on desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
  • Experience with workstation imaging, operating system deployment, and device refresh projects.
  • Experience supporting enterprise endpoint management solutions such as Intune or Ivanti.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, printers, peripheral devices, and operating systems.
  • Experience working within a ticket-driven support environment.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Dell hardware certification or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Experience supporting healthcare environments.
  • Experience working with Epic or other healthcare applications.
  • Experience supporting HP, Zebra, and Intermec printers.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Experience supporting clinical workstations, shared devices, and healthcare technology deployments.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts including cabling, switches, and connectivity troubleshooting.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to walk throughout hospital and clinic environments for extended periods.
  • Ability to crawl, bend, kneel, and work under desks or in confined spaces when installing or troubleshooting equipment.
  • Ability to travel between sites as required for deployment and support activities.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hershey, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $30.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
