Substitute Teacher/Substitute Aide

Position: Substitute Teachers/Substitute Aides
All District SchoolsEffective Date(s): 2026-2027 school yearJob Goal(s): To enable each child to pursue his/her education as smoothly and completely as possible in the absence of the regular teacher.Reports To: Principal/Vice PrincipalEmployment
Terms: Per Diem Position; as needed positionQualifications:

1. A regular New Jersey teaching certificate or a substitute teacher's certificate issued by the County Superintendent preferred.
2. Successful prior experience as a classroom teacher preferred.
3. Demonstration of familiarity with school, philosophy, program and policies.
4. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.

Salary:

Substitute Teacher - County Certificate $150 per diem rate
Teaching Certificate: $175 per diem rate

Substitute Classroom/Clerical Aide Rate: $19.60

Substitute LLD Aide Rate: $21.00

Substitute ABA/PSD/MD Rate: $24.70
